Neo-Fanfare 9×13 toured with STALAGMIETEN SAMBA (2023) as part of their music theatre show ‘Nieuw Babylon’ about the relationship between humanity and toxic work environments.
Anton van Houten (artistic director and trombonist 9×13): ‘The music of Nieuw Babylon is a playful mix of compositions, navigating between familiar sounds and newly written music. Nieuw Babylon is a musical space of discovery, where you never know exactly what you’re going to experience or where you’ll end up.

More information
Neo-fanfare 9×13, was founded by Anton van Houten (trombonist and business director of Ensemble Klang), and consists of 10 professional musicians who put contemporary music in a theatrical setting. Effortlessly, the ensemble plays new work from memory in a special setting, whether on the boulevard, in the middle of town or on a festival site, bringing this music to a wide audience.
