VARIATIONS was written for Wind Quartet and Jazz Trio and commissioned and performed by Ensemble Mescolare on August 5th, 2018 at Fort Lent, Nijmegen (NL) at NJO Muziekzomer festival. It was made with financial support from Fonds Podiumkunsten.
It consists of four movements:
- Movement I: Furious
- Movement II: Slow
- Movement III: Fanfare
- Movement IV: Finale
