The miniseris Een flat met duizend ramen is in the shape of a frame story. Each episode zooms in on one of the protagonists. It’s no wonder that it’s based on the six Sunquartets of Haydn. In this collection, bundled as Opus 20, Haydn highlights all possibilities of a string quartet, at the time a new chamber music form. Now, three centuries later, six composers at their own persectives to this work.

About Jan-Peter
Jan-Peter de Graaff (1992) studied music composition at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague under the tutelage of Guus Janssen, Calliope Tsoupaki and Diderik Wagenaar and at the Royal College of Music in London with Kenneth Hesketh. He graduated in 2016 (MMus) with the prize-winning opera “All Rise!” (Nicolaï fund award, 2016). Next to his composition studies he studied orchestral conducting with Alex Schillings and Lukas Groen.
